Year 1 Autumn 2020 learning experiences
Year 1 have been finding out about the seasons. We have been talking about how the autumn affects the behaviour of both humans and other animals and the children could name some changes they had observed all around them. We went looking for signs that autumn had arrived and this is what we found. We looked closely at the trees and noticed that some were Deciduous and some Evergreen.
The best bit was throwing them up into the air and watching them fall all around us!
Working hard outside on our counting and addition skills whilst having fun at the same time.
As part of our mark making weeks Year 1 looked at the continent of Africa and in particular African animals. Inspired by the work of Edward Tinga from Tanzania we used our cutting skills and work on repeated patterns to create our own interpretations of his work.
