Well Being Week

We have come to the end of another fantastic Well Being week...

We have been enjoying all sorts of activities on the theme of well-being. What a great well-being week we have enjoyed in spite of the very wet weather! Throughout the week classes have been focusing on different aspects of well-being from yoga to healthy eating and we have taken part in a range of activities promoting well being in both mind and body.

This afternoon I had the great pleasure of singing with many of the classes and we discussed the restorative impact of music.

We even have been taking the theme of well-being in our staff meeting and looked at the principles of good mental health and considered useful resources. We are about to purchase a collection of books for children on this theme which we believe will be a real support (thank you to the PTA for this). The books on a range of mental health related issues are already available to borrow from  public libraries but we hope to have our own resource in school. Thank you to Mrs Jones for leading this initiative.

Today we had a wonderful visit from the RNLI who spoke so enthusiastically to the children about water safety. The RNLI are sea safety experts; advice and information on coastal safety can be obtained from their website.
