We had a wonderful week celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen. This included…
- On Monday, watching part of the Coronation in colour during a special Coronation service ;
- On Tuesday, admiring show stopper cakes in the Wrington Platinum Jubilee Bake-off;
- On Wednesday, traveling through the decades on our Jubilee Trail (each class showcased the special events, music and technology of 'their' decade;
- On Friday... the planting of the Jubilee Oak Tree on the field with a splendid rendition of the National Anthem;
- Finding out who were the Wrington Bake-off champions! Well done to Annabel and Molly - we hope you will enjoy your baking book prizes (in fact headteacher pencils go to all children who took part in recognition of everyone's amazing efforts)!
- listening to super performances of songs from the last seven decades by each class (including guitar accompaniment and dance moves!;
Reception perform a song from Frozen (Families can hear each class perform on the whole school Dojo page)
- and enjoying a fabulous tea party with delicious home –baked cakes!
The playground looked magnificent adorned with red, white and blue bunting (thank you to Mrs Ledbury, Mr Prince and Mrs Laird)!
It was a Jubilee to remember. Thank you to EVERYONE who contributed to its success.
We should like to wish Her Majesty a wonderful Platinum Jubilee and we thank her for the wonderful example she has given to us all through her dedicated service to others for the last 70 years.
