The Death of HM Queen Elizabeth II
Following the sad announcement of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II yesterday, the school held a service of thanksgiving when we reflected on key moments of the Queen’s reign in pictures, her sense of duty and how the monarchy has changed over the last 70 years. We also held a minute silence. I am so pleased that the children were able to focus on the service in positive spirit of thanksgiving. Even our very youngest children took part.
Later in the day we listened to the bells ringing out from the church. At the end of the day, classes were invited to watch the short film of Her Majesty meeting Paddington Bear at the Palace as a lighter moment. We understand that there is a book of condolence in All Saints which will be open until 8pm for the next few days.
