Our most recent full Ofsted inspection was in June 2015 and we were judged as Outstanding in all categories. Click here to see the report.

Extract from the Ofsted report published in 2010 are as follows:

‘Pupils achieve well, not just because teaching and learning are good but also because they are encouraged to see their potential and are given the self-confidence to work hard and aim high

There is a strong sense of teamwork and pride in what has already been achieved and a complete lack of complacency. School self-evaluation is accurate.’

We were inspected in Science in February 2012. We were delighted to have been graded as ‘Outstanding’ in that subject inspection. Click here to see the inspection report.

As a Church of England School we were inspected by SIAMS (National Society Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) in May 2015 and graded as 'Outstanding' in all areas.

Extract from the SIAMS report May 2015:

'The distinctiveness and effectiveness of Wrington Primary School as a Church of England school are outstanding

·         Inspirational leadership and management  promotes a strong vision for the school and its future,  and creates a Christian ethos where Christian values underpin all aspects of school life

·         There is an inspirational partnership with the local Christian community, which deeply affects the life of the school

·         The school  fulfils its vision statement lovingly and effectively, as it cherishes and nurtures pupils and ensures they flourish and aspire

-          A rich variety of expressions of spiritual, moral, social and cultural development permeate the curriculum and daily life of the school. '

In July 2022 we were inspected under the new schedule and we were pleased to be graded as good in all areas.


Extracts include:

  • pupils having a strong sense of being part of a caring family
  • Older pupils become fine role models enabling younger pupils to understand the relevance of Christian values. They show a high degree of respect to one another, actively encouraging each other. Pupils know the importance of reconciliation and use restorative approaches well.
  • The vision inspires leaders to create an innovative curriculum which readily engages pupils
  • Leaders create a culture of high expectations and use a language which raises self-esteem. This has a significant impact for vulnerable pupils joining the school, encouraging them to flourish. This is enhanced by providing opportunities for pupils to shine in sports and
    music, which are particular strengths of the school...
