Wrington Primary School

Special Educational Needs and Disability

Wrington Primary School is a mainstream inclusive school welcoming all children, some of whom may have special or additional needs and/or a disability. Please see our SEND Policy and SEND Information Report below.

We adopt a graduated approach within our universal provision for all pupils. Information about this can be found below.

Regular updates and information on SEND can be found in our regular newsletter and on this page. There is also a page with useful links to other agencies in our Parent section of the website (Supporting Children with Additional Needs).

Who do I speak to if I have concerns about my child's learning?

  • Speak to your child’s teacher in the first instance.
  • You may wish to speak to Mrs Tracey Jones (responsible for SEND)
  • For emotional and pastoral support for your child, you may wish to speak to Mrs Lucy Smith, our Learning Mentor.

Mrs Tracey Jones is our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator and she works with class teachers, families and other agencies to co-ordinate provision for children with special educational needs and disabilities.  She can be contacted via the school office on 01934 862553 or office@wringtoncofeprimary.org and she will get back to you as soon as possible.

Mrs Lucy Smith is our Learning Mentor and she supports children throughout the school.  Her main role involves overcoming barriers to learning.
