Volunteering

We are always delighted to have volunteers in school. Our visitors enrich the learning experiences of the children and we welcome assistance with a wide range of activities including reading, playing mathematical games, art or DT activities, cookery and gardening. Some volunteers offer their generous support to the school with administrative or resourcing tasks. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have so much support from volunteers!

If you would like to volunteer then please see Ms. Hinds in the school office in order to complete any necessary forms. Volunteers who work with children on a regular basis or who have unsupervised access to pupils will need an enhanced DBS check before working in the school. Mrs. Whitehouse has made a volunteer film for the induction of volunteers and we will give you the link. The school is committed to the safeguarding of all pupils. All staff and volunteers are expected to follow the document Guidance for Safer Working Practices and be familiar with school procedures.
